With a 68 RPI, a top 4 seed for a bye AND a home game was always going to be tough.

Tech got a 5 seed in the West while BYU at 67 RPI got a 6 seed.

Makes perfect sense...the 7-10 seeds have to play an extra game. Treat the opening round bye as a home win into the first round.

Tech won't get any home games unless it plays a lower seed or the higher seed has a facility conflict like Vanderbilt does (NCAA women) forcing it to go to Notre Dame.
