Don't know how many of ya'll have seen this, very good write up found interesting that our bench leads the nation in points contributed.
ESPN's Take Louisiana Tech has played in all 25 NCAA Tournaments and won the very first NCAA championship game against Cheyney State in 1982.
Coach Chris Long and the Lady Techsters survived a crazy Western Athletic Conference Tournament, which saw the second, third and fourth seeds bounced in the quarterfinals.
But top-seeded Tech beat New Mexico State in the WAC final to ride a 15-game winning streak into the NCAA Tournament.
Senior guard Tasha Williams was the WAC Tournament MVP, shooting a tournament record 68 percent from the field. Williams led the team in assists and steals while scoring 12 points per game this season. She attempted more than 200 free throws.
La. Tech was great at taking the ball to the basket and getting to the line. Three players shot more than 100 free throws as the team averaged 18 makes on 25 attempts per game.
Senior guard Aarica Ray-Boyd led the team in scoring with 14 points per game while knocking down 84 3-pointers. Shan Moore had her best game of the season in the WAC final, notching her first double-double.
Inside, La. Tech looks to Ty Moore and Tamika Kursh. The Lady Techsters go eight deep and the bench contributed to a league-leading 73 points per game this season. Many of those points come from a defense which forced 21 turnovers on 11 steals per game.
