Anybody have an explanation about all the tatoos we see on BB and Football players? Seems to be the more they have the better. What is the line of thinking?

How can you use "tatoos" and "thinking" in the same thought?
Tatoos are common now. The athletes are just a refection of that age group in society. I don't like it, but my parents didn't like my ear ring when I was in college, either. It is different, because a tatoo is more permanent, though.
All the cool kids are doing it, maddawg.
You wanna be cool, dontcha?
When I saw the thread title, I thought you were soliciting ideas for your own...
I have also wondered what the big deal is. Even the the girls have them, in high school! I guess it is just a statement of individuality.
I bet that's it since it seems almost everyone that plays has them.Originally Posted by hookdown
Yes, another case of "expressing your individuality" in order to be a part of the group.
it could be something that represents something very important to them,or some sort of memorial for a loved one, or that they just think they look cool. I have one myself and plan on getting another one soon.
I have the Tech bulldog on my back, my brother has the state-T. I know we will always be proud to be Tech grads, so i dont think its anything we'll regret in the future. Plus with it being on my back, nobody even knows its there.Originally Posted by hachiman
When I was in college, we let our hair grow. When I got a job, I could cut it.
That is a great point. For me I got the tattoo on my arm in a place that is hardly visible with my shirt off.Originally Posted by olddog75

Nothing...as long as the tattoo said "i (heart) mom"
Years ago...I had a class at Tech with Major Fox. He stated in class that anyone with a tatto had been drunk at least once in their life.
