Dawgs win 4-2. Another game today, one tomorrow.
Glad baseball has started. I don't think this will be a particularly stellar year for the Diamond Dawgs, too many everyday players had to be replaced from last year's squad. But, for now, baseball is a welcomed distraction from our lousy hoops' teams.
Why aren’t the games being broadcast on local radio?
Dawgs win again, 4-0. Now 3-0. Get out the brooms and get the sweep tomorrow. Someone post the score tomorrow, I'll be on the road all day. Thanks.
First observation....Colton Coats needs to be our starting 1st baseman.
Evidently Fouts hasn’t helped some of our pitchers since last year. No surprise really. He’s not a legit pitching coach. Here’s an idea… after Harland comes in to get the team out of a bad inning however many runs are given up, don’t start him the next inning. Everyone should know after all these years that he’s a 4-5 batter guy. Any more than that is nothing but trouble. On the positive side, the Dawgs persevered to get a sweep. Congratulations! There are the makings of a decent team in the dugout if Burroughs can figure it out and not play favorites like he does too often.
I actually thought except for three innings Sunday the pitching this weekend was very solid and I saw every game in person except for the Sunday game
We don't have a Bates or Broderson on the back end, but those two are rare finds
Hawsey was in over his head at first and Mexico is challenged defensively
But honestly a good opening weekend against a team that is one year removed from a Regional (this wasn't a Northern Colorado)
