Fresno didn't move us up too far game by game. We actually lost two spots after sunday, we were 33 after saturday's game.
Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you look at the remainder of the season, with the exception of Hawaii, there are no more high RPI teams to play, so even if we continue winning, which I'm sure we will, our RPI will fall despite the wins.
However, regardless of RPI's and SOS's, blah, blah, blah, it takes NOTHING away from this team, their accomplishments, and how proud I and everyone else is of them!

I will say this, I believe if we win every series for the rest of the season (2 out of 3 or 3 out of 3), we will scratch some votes for a poll.

We all knew our RPI was gonna take a hit, that's why it was important to win the big games. We need SJSU to win as many as possible since they won our series.
I think we will get some poll votes today from the sweep this weekend. I will be checking all day and as they are posted I will post here.
The WAC dropped from #8 to #9 in the conference RPI rankings. The WCC moved ahead of us.

Not true. USM was in the Top 25 when we beat them, and they have a 43 RPI right now. UAB is usually pretty good in baseball, as is East Carolina, which currently has a 32 RPI.
Not to take anything away from that win against USM but ULM also beat them.
Actually, they had a split!
We now have six wins over teams which were ranked in the Top 25 at the time we beat them -- USM, Baylor, Mississippi State and Fresno (3 times).
Tech is 14-10 against Top 100 RPI teams and 10-3 against teams 101+.
Wasn't Hawaii ranked when we beat them two times?
Maybe so. If they were, I don't rememer that. I'll see if I can find out something.
