Even if/when we beat them, no matter where, they will not respect us. They will just say "y'all were lucky... or we had a bad night... or you couldn't do it again (and we won't give you the chance)" They will still have the same attitude no matter what we do.

So why do we feel that we need their respect??

You are the one that brought up respect. They will not treat us with respect until we get some of the respect back from the rest of the state and country.

The key reason to play lsu in any sport is to get the fence riders OFF the fence. Those people that graduated from Tech and cheer for lsu need for Tech and lsu to play every chance possible. They have to choose who they want to win. The same goes for people that didn't go to either school, live in N. La., and cheer for lsu, because they THINK they are suppossed to.

The only thing that will get people off the fence is to make them have to choose. The more we play, the more we make the fence electric.

It used to be that Tech had the upper hand in this state in WBB. We had all the FF's and National Championships. lsu couldn't hold a candle to us. Then, lsu started building their program up. They still have no NC's and we beat them hands down in FF's, but they have more success over the past 5 years than we do, so it is time to play. lsu would never agree to a game, when they knew that they had no chance to beat us. They definitely have a chance now, so they are much more willing to agree. We have to put them in their place. To do that, we have to play.
