I read this thread and I kinda laugh to myself. I have no idea why people thnk we're a bit arrogant and self promoting, =o). Aside from having a great time, I know I had the time of my life, I think we've learned a good bit about how to do this and we'll be able to step it up a notch next year as far as promoting games in the Monroe, Shreveport, and local student markets AS WELL AS attempting to increase fan enthusiasm while there. The Blue has some promotions in the wind for next year and hopefully we'll continue to learn.
Anyway, I think our teams did really well this year. Football, basketball, and baseball went 59 - 39 (.602) overall and 29 - 22 (.568) in the WAC and our women's teams went 70 - 78 (.473) and 25 - 37 (.403) in basketball, tennis, softball, volleyball and softball (information posted on www.latech.edu). That gives us 129 -117 (.524) and 54 - 59 (.477). I'd like to see us do better in our WAC games, but our volleyball and soccer teams are both improving.
This information also does not consider the track teams which have great success or the upcoming WAC tournament in baseball which the Dawgs are about to sweep.
