Good point. But I was thinking the same thing as Market was. I like our WAC schools and the quality of teams. I just wish they were closer to us. Moving to CUSA would not diffenately mean stepping up to a better conference, just moving side ways to a closer conference.

Maybe CUSA will take a closer look at us next time, since we did the right thing.

CHAMP-Dr. Reneau's public statement, delivered in NANO-EBONICS, will have absolutely no influence on whether or not we gain admittance to CUSA. ALL of the IMPROVEMENTS needed in our programs, facilities, budget, promotion, fund-raising, & so many more that have NOT been addressed since the last time there was an opening, will be duly noted by the CUSA decision-makers IF & WHEN the time comes to add to the CUSA membership. To think that Tulane, by telling other CUSA members that, by providing them all that they needed in 2005 when they were displaced saved their program, will have the deal-closing influence on our admittance into CUSA is absolute folly. IF we had been truly dead serious about gaining entrance into CUSA, we would not have flopped here on our NANO-BUTTS for the time that has passed since our last rejection doing ZIP about what REALLY matters to the CUSA folks---TANGIBLE EVIDENCE that our administration is truly COMMITTED to our TOTAL athletic program. And, on that count, we are GUILTY, guilty of doing NOTHING!!

I don't disagree with anything you stated. I just don't think that the statement he made in the paper hurt anything. It may not have helped, but it didn't hurt. You are EXACTLY right about our facilities and committment to athletics.

The WAC knows our situation. They wouldn't be surprised at all if they read that.

All too true. They do enjoy the competition we bring to the table, but they have grown very tiresome of both the distance situation and also with trying to schedule arround our quarter system.
