Looks like a punk player, fakes being hit by a pitch, then gets mad b/c he strikes out. All players strike out.Originally Posted by jford

Rooster- you are right. The coach is a douche bag as well.
It would have been alot more convincing if he had trotted to first...he should have argued instead of getting back to the plate.
Stuff like that is was made me want a few more years of expirence before heading to the High School/College ranks at 21 years old.
Any angle you look at....the ball didn't touch him. Pointing the bat at the umpire should be a season suspension and to top it off the head coach backed up the whole tirade !!! None of it surprised me .I got to see the Arkansas -Tech series in Fayetteville and they are a classless spoiled team with many obnoxious fans cheering their cheating butts to the regionals.
that ball came no where near him and if it would have hit him in order for it to cause the show he gave it would of been a direct hit . . . would the ball not go straight to the catchers glove?? sorry but the guy is being stupid and just trying to get a free base . . . and if his elbow hurt tha much how was he able to swing like that . . .
I'm not surprised anymore, coaches and parents these days allow this type of behavior in sports at an early age.
Totally agree.Originally Posted by TECH88
Just to add to this.. alot of places with actually hand-cuff the umpires and not allow us to deal with them. I actually got fired from S'port Little Leauge because I ejected too many people. (2 kids in 6 weeks for getting angry and throwing their helmets across the field)
S'port Dixie had a good solution, and I hope that they are still doing this. Before they would let them sign their kids up, they had to sign a contract of good behavior. They were very restricted on what they could say to umps, coaches, and other players.
OMG - Pup and I know him. He's from Tulsa, played a couple of years at my son's high school. His mom was my other son's high school swim coach. I'm embarrassed for them. He's not a bad kid.
Go Tech!
Rooster hit it right on the head. This kid has a loser attitude and his coach should be ashamed of himself. Hopefully, the coach apologized to the ump after he saw the slow-mo of the film.
The coach had to argue because until he saw the film he probably believed the kid. But, there is no way the kid got hit.
Maybe he grew up playing soccer! That would explain the fake job.
I should probably say "grew up playing soccer in Europe". They pull that kind of crap all the time over there.
guy was just trying to get on base. ease up on him.
That's fine, but it didn't work.Originally Posted by farright30
Take your strike out swinging and walk back to the dugout with your mouth shut. That could probably have been the end of the story.
However, lip off to the umpire because he didn't buy the acting job gets you tossed and open to all kinds of grief from the viewing world.
