How much do we bring home annually? We need to be in a regional conference really bad.

Agreed. But I'm afraid we can only dream. Just think, as well as we travel within the region, how much fun a regional conference would be. Ah well . . .
It's got to be the right regional conference. Going to the Sunbelt would be a big mistake IMHO.

What regional conference is there for Tech to play in other than the Sun Belt? The WAC is by far the best option for Tech IMO at this point in time.

Those schools' AD's are appreciative of our fans who travel. No, we're not exactly worthy of the labels put on teams who play in New Year's Day bowls, but for our region, we are known to buy tickets.Period.

Dawgpix - Don't forget the large contingent we had at Tulane. That was a fun road trip but a tough game to sit through. We do travel well when the games aren't in BFE or on the west coast.
Also, we were the only one of Sister Clausen's schools that didn't have to return tickets to lsu. We actually got more.
In 2004-2005 it was $1,326,783...of course that was only with 6 shares instead of 10. The shares for the next couple of years may be a little higher than normal for 9 members with the 3 new members paying off their conference buy-in fee.Originally Posted by Rooster

Can you imagine what we could do with an extra 10 million for one year. The SEC schools get this extra money every year. I know Arkansas athletic budget is about 45-50 million. I bet lsu's is close to 60 million. I saw where Ohio State's budget was 75 million a couple of years ago. Maybe budget is the wrong word for these schools. If you're bringing in 50,000,000 a year, you don't have to worry about a budget.Originally Posted by Rooster
