    WNIT

The Techsters not only got a bid, but a first round bye. They will start in the second round facing the winner of the St. Mary's and Texas Southern winner. I hate how the WNIT doesn't announce dates and places until a day before the game. My guess is that we will start playing on the 22nd.

Is there a published bracket somewhere?

I'm glad our team gets to continue to practice. Of course, given what I've seen, I'm not sure if it will actually help much.

Here is all the give you: https://womensnit.com/index.aspx but it isn't much. I could not find a true bracket- only the first round game schedule.

I differ with you. We have almost ALL freshmen and a sophomore on this team. Except for Lee, this will be great practice for them. Aaron was showing her star power in both our conference tournament games. She was injured until December and just getting back in real form. Now, we just have to hold on to all these freshmen.

My comment is aimed at the coaches, or perhaps at the intelligence-level of the players. They were making the same mistakes in Huntsville recently as they were making back in November. Obviously, they haven't learned a thing. A few more days of practice won't change anything. And, there are NO freshmen on this team anymore. They all have played 30+ games at the Division I level, "youth" is not an excuse.

Found a printable version of the whole 48-team bracket. fansided.com/2025-wnit....etc.

Here's my off-the-cuff prediction for the Elite 8:

    Washington State vs. North Texas
    Techsters vs. Central Arkansas
    Cleveland State vs. Old Dominion
    Buffalo vs. Rutgers

Which means, none of the above will reach the Elite 8...

This is most of our best players first year. That is a freshman. No, it is not to be used as an excuse. I was just stating that more experience is a good thing for a very young team. We showed what we CAN do in the first round and what we are lacking in the semi-finals. Aaron is, probably, our most underrated player. She is just coming into form and the WNIT will be so helpful for her. It will, also, help our Freshman of the Year and every player on our team learn how to play in high pressure games. It is a win/win situation. I am thankful we got in the WNIT and hoping we can make some noise and improve for next year.

    .

The only way we will come close to improving is to kick Brooke and hubby out as soon as this tournament is over. Please someone tell me that since her contract has reached an end, we can admit this was a miserable failure and we will get a new coach!!!

The second round will be Monday evening at the TAC against Texas Southern. This is a very winnable game.

Her contract is up at the end of next season I do believe. Realize that if she were to go she would most likely be taking several players with her so you might want to pump the brakes with your wanting her to leave.
If she were to leave she would definitely go to a P5 school as an Assistant and take half our team with her.
We already have P5 schools circling after two of our freshman trying to lure them away so the petty BS on here doesn't help at all.

That argument could be used to keep any coach, no matter how bad.

Things are dire for Tech athletics. If we have to lose one actually good athlete to catch the last rope out then so be it.

Unless she accepts a coaching offer from another school she will not be going anywhere after this season!!!

She recruited arguably one of the Techster's best classes in many years. I hope she wins the WNIT, which is possible, and goes on to get the Techsters back in the NCAA tournament next year. This class is special. We need to hang on to all of them.

    Re: WNIT

As usual Charles Barkley had something profound to say regarding the hiring of assistant coaches. He was lamenting the choices made by a head coach of some men's team, and said: You shouldn't hire your friends, you need to hire coaches who know what they are doing.

Well, that statement applies to a lot of situations across the nation, across many sports. Ah, I think Tech head coaches have been guilty of this too.

As for the Techster coaching situation. As I have mentioned many times, I like Brooke. Of course, I am somewhat biased in that opinion formed when I got to watch some of her practices and be a guest coach on the bench during a game when she was at NSU. She teaches all the right things. Yet...her players, especially since she's been at Tech, never seem to learn the lessons, either that or they choose to ignore her instructions.

Yes, we should beat Texas Southern. Will we?

This is definately the best recruiting class she has had at Tech
This is in my opinion the best recruiting class at Louisiana Tech since Amy Brown, Vicki Johnson, Deborah Williams and Raquel Spurlock class.
