I attended our WNIT game vs. SMU when Spoon was coach. There was an electric atmosphere in the TAC that night as the Techsters' prevailed. After the game, fans were giddy, and I heard people saying it was good to have "the Techsters back." Of course, that did not manifest into a return of the Techsters. But, it shows how desperate our fanbase is for any kind of success from any of our programs, but especially by the Techsters. I know certain posters on this forum gag at the thought that Tech fans LOVE DEM TECHSTERS!

Her contract is up at the end of next season I do believe. Realize that if she were to go she would most likely be taking several players with her so you might want to pump the brakes with your wanting her to leave.
If she were to leave she would definitely go to a P5 school as an Assistant and take half our team with her.
We already have P5 schools circling after two of our freshman trying to lure them away so the petty BS on here doesn't help at all.

She continues to be a .500 coach yet because she was an ex-Lady Techster, and admittedly runs a fairly clean program, people are willing to accept mediocrity at its best. We continue to say that it is unrealistic to expect Tech to compete with the big programs. However, look at some of the teams that made the tournament this year........Southern, Ball St, George Mason, Vermont, Fairfield, FGCU, SFA, Montana St, Lehigh, Norfolk St, and Green Bay. Likely a few of these got in by being conference champs, but certainly not all. Are you ok with these "lesser" universities making at large bids while Tech continues to languish? Great that she may have recruited a good class! Guess what? They still haven't received a NCAA bid nor distinguished themselves since she has been here. When will we hold her and her hubby accountable?????

I'm thrilled our ladies earned a post season home game. Post season games are an unexpected treat that energize Mrs Russdawg and me.Like a surprise dessert! Our Techsters work long hard hours all year, excel in class, and it's just GOOD for them to play again. We'll be there with enthusiasm and the extra edge a post season game brings. Dawg80 that SMU game electric, remember it well.

It's time to celebrate and enjoy another game seeing our freshman-sophomores, also looking forward to seeing them all back in November. We'll miss Robyn Lee this fall.

Literally every team you mentioned got in due to winning their conference tournament . None of these teams would have been in the NCAA Tournament as an at-large..

Why is there SO much negative on BB&B?

Now granted I primarily follow the Women's Basketball - Leon Barmore's Legacy forum but I wonder just how many season ticket holders and/or LTAC contributors post on these forums vs non season ticket holders/ LTAC contributors.

I would like to see one condition added to each of the Forums – that is anyone can join and read the contents. BUT only those with Season Tickets may post and only on the forum that corresponds with tickets they purchase. Not sure about LTAC contributors, I guess they could post wherever.

With those limitations, I imagine postings would drop considerably.

Jax State lost last night in the Men's NIT, so CUSA is officially done for hoops for this season. Oh wait! not yet!

The Techsters are the last team still carrying the CUSA banner in post season play. Go Techsters!

There are literally thousands of coaches nationwide that can do as well (probably should say "as poorly") as this coach for half the price and without multi-year contracts. And, they wouldn't even insist that their spouse be hired as well.

Rinky-dink. Malcolm does "okay" in the play by play, but tonight he continually called Texas Southern the "Lady Lions." They are the "Lady Tigers." You would think after about the 10th time he did that someone, anyone, would nudge him and remind him they are the "Tigers." But, nope. To make matters interesting, we now play the Lindenwood Lady Lions, to which Malcolm will call them "Tigers."

Kudos to Teddy Allen, not even a mention of Piggly Wiggly all night. WTG Teddy!

More importantly...the game. We had 28 turnovers...let me repeat that in case you missed it, TWENTY-EIGHT turnovers. Nothing has changed since November. This team is just as stupid as they were back then. Yes, I said STUPID. Stupidity is the inability to learn. This team hasn't learned a thing. Texas Southern was missing 2 of their top 3 scorers, due to injuries. Good thing, else we would have lost to a SWAC team on our home floor.

The refs sucked. Refs always miss calls but tonight those zebra clowns were making up new rules as they went along. Worst officiated game I have seen in a long time. It didn't help our cause, but mostly the Techsters just love self-inflicted wounds. Some of our turnovers are so STUPID I think they have to be doing it on purpose.

Oh well, Techsters are now 49-2 all-time in post season play in the history of the TAC. Have a bad feeling the Lady Lions are going to press us hard to make that 49-3.
