Drop bowling and add women's golf. They play regional tournaments anyway until WAC conference tournament. Also more interest and teams in conferences fielding women's golf as well. We have facility. Need women's coach...maybe on of the assistant pros at Squire Creek.

from reading this story in today's news-star, it sounds as if jackson is as good as gone.
he doesn't want to leave his alma mater after putting in 11 years of blood, sweat and tears. but the offer is tremendous. and oakes may "hope" he stays, but what has he done to convince shawn to stay? i doubt it's much.

Congratulations on a great offer, Shawn. Take it if that's the best move for you and your family. But realize that what you are making now at Louisiana Tech is what you will be making for years to come until Coach Stanley retires.
Only look to the example of people like Conroy Hines and Petey Perot who have turned down lucrative financial offers to bigger schools to stay at Louisiana Tech.
If you can't, then good luck in Iowa.

I doubt it's gonna happen anytime soon, and the only thing we're talking about is resurfacing. Gary was told not to expect it until 2010. He made no mention of the other needs.
I was told 2009 for the resurfacing. Several track athletes have made mention of those other NEEDS.
