I just got back in town. I understand that it is still on but we have had some cancellations. I guess we picked a bad week (kids out of school and vacations ect...) and will probably try playing in the cool fall next year. It will still be a great time as long as the rain holds. I still might need an extra Dwayne as my dad is on and off. I'll know more tomorrow. I am also hoping to have Adam McGuirt on my team like 2 years ago at Squire Creek. He can sure hit and place the pellet.

An extra Dwayne is hard to find.

So how are the teams decide, blind draw? I got a friend who is a Tech Alum and needs to be bigger supporter that I want to bring over from Dallas. The anouncement says limited non-alcoholic beverages, does that mean that beer is not allowed? Say it aint so.

By the way this has been a very confusing thread, the early post said tee times a 1 now they are at 8 AM. Might still be able to make it but I will be coming from watching the Cubbies play the Rangers the night before.

Not a blind draw according to those in charge. Teams will be assigned if you don't already have one. Team scramble golf format with up to 5 per team. Be there at 7:00 with tee off at 8:00. No beer as I understand it but plenty of drinks. However, I believe you can but beer at the course. Should be a great time!

Beer is ALLOWED... just not freely provided. I don't even think that it's a 2 hour drive from Dallas. He should make it easily!!

Sorry about this... this thread is actually from last year. The most recent posts are the ones talking about this years event. The tournament DOES start at 8:00.

BTW... Dwayne, I don't have the whole night off, but I have someone coming in at 6:00 to relieve me. So meet at the SPD @ 6??

Can we get there by 8 if we leave at 6 am?

I have some pull with the local sheriffs in Claiborne, Bienville, Jackson and Webster Parishes - put none in Caddo or East Texas....

I don't have a choice. If you feel the need to take off, then go for it. I KNOW that I can make it there on time...

I have Caddo covered, but LSP and East Texas.... well let's not talk about that.

We should be getting done a little after noon. Then eating Jersey Mike's at the course. I'll be carpooling with Dwayne and we should be heading out of town after. (I've gotta work at midnight still)

If you want to meet up, just meet at Oakhurst.
