    Staff Announcement

    I am pleased to welcome qng001 (Quang) to the BB&B team as a Style Designer for our forum. For those of you who don't have a clue what that is, he will be helping to design some new looks for our site.

    Quang is graduate of Tech and brings a wealth of talent and experience to the site, as you have seen in the logo contest.

    Please join me in welcoming Quang to the team. I look forward to seeing his work and believe he will help bring some fresh ideas and a wonderful new "feel" to the site.

    New design is always welcome. The only important reminder for young designers is that anything that limits the ability of old computers (and either PC or Macs) to open pages quickly and dependably reduces the value of a site. For the past two years, we have been running on G5 Macs with all the power available, but many people must use 10-year-old computers and don't have DSL. Simple is genius!

    That's one of the great things about this forum software. It let's the USER choose what style he/she wants. We can have a low bandwidth style for those on dial up and a high bandwidth for those with DSL that has more graphics and style to it!
