More Fence Work

According to Scott Beders' blog..... coach Sim says they are in the process of adding 8 more rows of chairback seats and adding more chair backs on top of the dugouts.Has anyone been by the love shack to see the progress?I'm glad that coach Sim keeps chipping away on the old facility with improvements. And thanks to the annonomous donor who funded the right field fence replacement by the visitors bullpen.

If smoke cant get it done at LSU I dont want hiim. whether we like it or not LSU is a perrenial baseball power house. i want nothing of their left overs.

The entire backstop wall, bricks and all, is now green. Sounds bad, but looks good. Great background for the infielders.

They haven't added any chairback seats yet. It looks like we could use a new "batters eye" screen in centerfield. It's torn up in places but still hanging on. I believe the kids that played in the Lincoln Little League tournament repainted the outfield fence and it looks great. The CHASE BANK sign on the outfield fence is so faded that I wonder if we lost their sponsorship?Maybe they would like to get their name on a new scoreboard. The visitors bullpen fence is only 3-4 foot high so they will still need a player to face home plate to protect the pitcher warming up...a six foot fence would have solved the problem.

Chairbacks should be added during December as long as it is still a go. The paint for the fence and backstop was donated I believe, as well as, the painter. If the Chase Bank sign is white with gray letters or something like that, it is NOT faded. That is actually how the sign was made last year. It was put up mid to late season last year.

It may not be Baum Stadium at George Cole Field, but it is a beautiful place for baseball. wish I could be playing!
