My younger brother will be a senior in high school next fall but this summer is taking classes at SMU for college credit.
He sent me this email last night:
We were informed tonight at supper that tomorrow afternoon we will be photographed to be the new faces on the SMU CE brochures and Gifted/Youth program literature.
The plan is for two of us to be wearing Louisiana Tech t-shirts.
My parents have done a wonderful job raising their children.
Bring tears to my eyes....
....and a mischevious grin to my face!!!
Please tell us that your are going to post those!?!?!
That made not being able to sleep a good thing just reading it this AM!

You too? I'd give almost anythign for a full night's sleep right now. Moving screws up my sleep schedule something terrible.

I take it from your AF wings you are in the Air Force? Did my 20 years after being a brat all my life. I always got my sleep patterns screwed up when moving and flying cross country.

There's a great letter written by Nick Grunenwald's parents in the alumni news I received today. It makes you proud of our school and especially proud of our baseball coaches for the way they recruited Nick.

Somehow SMU didn't think it was as funny as we did.

Yeah, unfortunately the director of the program told us we couldn't wear Tech shirts or she'd Photoshop big SMU logos in the place of the words "Bulldog Basketball" on my shirt and "Louisiana Tech" in the other guy's shirt.
They tried anyway.
Understandable. But great effort, anyway.
