Forum Additions
You may have noticed that we have made some changes to the non-sports related forums here on BB&B. We are doing this as part of our continuing efforts to improve and grow and community and give our members more reasons to come back to www.latechbbb.com.
We have added two new forum areas with numerous sub-forums to our existing community areas. Over the past year, we have seen a significant increase in student membership on our site. While many of us “old-timers” here on BB&B have plenty of areas to discuss our interests, we wanted to add some specific areas focused on our younger membership as well as build some new ones for our more seasoned members. We feel these two areas meet that objective.
At the bottom of the forum lists, you will see an area called “General Interest”. In this category, we have added the “Student Kennel” and the “Alumni Kennel” Each area has several sub-forums described below.
Student Kennel:
Student Life – for anything related to being a student today
Student Spirit Groups – this replaces “The Blue” and is open to all student spirit groups related to Tech Athletics. All of the threads and posts in “The Blue” have been moved here.
Technology – for anything related to current technology be it iPods, micro-manufacturing, to coffee pots
Gaming Dawgs – connect with other gamers and talk about it here
Introductions – for introducing yourself to the community
Alumni Kennel:
Pro Sports – needs no description
Professional Dawgs – for anything relating to business, work, etc.
Hobbies & Interests – fishing, boating, hunting, reading, family, etc
Local Alumni – for our regional alumni groups or just connecting with other alumni in your area
Introduction – for introducing yourself to the community
Just because a forum is in a certain area doesn’t mean you can’t post in it. There will be students who want to post in Pro Sports and alumni who want to post in the Gaming Dawgs area. That is fine! We just put them in the group we felt would have the most interest in the topic.
In the coming days and weeks, I will be adding RSS feeds for our News_Bot to post content to some of these forums. If you know of a good source for content, please let me know.
We hope you will all take an interest in these forums and help them to become viable parts of the BB&B community. Thank you again for your continued support of Bulldog Barks & Bytes

Re: Forum Additions
Is it true that maddawg doesn't post as much because he's protesting the fact there's not more female sport specific folders? He thinks the board should be more title 9 compliant. Is that true? Just something I heard.
