Ps - great time management as well. They got the ball with about 4 minutes left, and slowly marched it down the field. I think I've found my team to cheer for this season, since well...you know.
They got the ball with 8:30 left in the game and marched down the field. The last 3 plays before the field goal where kneel-downs. I loved it.
Last drive, 8:26, 16 plays, 72 yards, FG
Who dat!?
The Saints will likely lose 4 or 5 games this year. But, even at 11-5 that should be good enough to make the playoffs. Right now it is soooooooo refreshing to root for a team with a good QB and an even better head coach.
Hopefully the week off will allow Duece to heal up that aching hamstring. We need him at 100%.
Geaux Saints! More than that, thank you Saints.

I was one that had totally given up on the Saints, mainly because of their insistance to keep Brooks and the obvious trend they were following. My interest was sparked a little when Payton was named coach and they brought Brees in. When the Texans gave us the gift of Mr Bush, i was really inspired to see what they would do. Now it is a thrill to see what can happen when you actually put out an effort to strengthen your team. Now i have to take that Texans penant off my sons wall and replace it

There's a TOTALLY different attitude this year. I love seeing players upset at themselves after a bad play. When Joe Horn drops a ball, he looks physically sick. In the AB years, this would be laughed off. If a player was laughing after a game changing mistake, Payton would rip him a new one. You gotta love it (we gotta love something these days)!

I have been a Saints fan all of my life, and I am finally able to celebrate in their accomplishments. It seemed like the stars aligned for the Saints this year: Payton is awesome, Brees great sign, and Bush fell to us. Even after the Falcons game, i wasnt sure of us because of the emotion of the game. After beating of the hottest teams in the NFL, I think the Saints are absolutely legit. I dont know how the season will end (hopefully playoffs, but this team is moving the right direction and I expect a very bright future for years to come. I hope they are all in NO.
Come on guys. Let's keep some perspective. When it's all said and done, it's the Saints we're talking about. I love 'em and hope they win the Super Bowl. In fact, I think if they make it to the Super Bowl, the NFL should change it's rotation and move it to New Orleans this year. But let's not get our hopes up yet.
No, we have a coach now that will go through a ref to get to a player and rip his a$$ for blowing a coverage. We have players that hold themselves accountable when they screw up! Payton has weeded out the LOSERS and bad apples on the former teams. We have a QB that knows his limitations and uses his brains to make good decisions and manage the game. We have a true thunder/lightning combo in Deuce and Reggie. We have a defense of NO superstars that care about ONE thing; get to the ball and rip your damn head off (I love Fujita). This is a far different Saints team than the past. I'll take 10-6 right now and a playoff spot and go from there. They have some tough games ahead, but if they play 0.500 ball from here out, they are 10-6 and in the playoffs I think! GO SAINTS!!!
Amen RX! I couldn't have been happier when they dealt Brooks and then Stallworthless. I think what I really love seeing is a team that is ready to play every week, win or lose I love them. I have been traveling around the state a bit this fall and it is really interesting to hear the comments about the Saints. I hear a lot of the same sentiment from a lot of different people. The funniest though was a guy that told me it was all rigged by the NFL. In Louisiana even when we are winning some people still find a reason to feel like a loser.
C'mon man, you gotta believe! I actually do think that this is a completely different Saints team from years past. Most of that is due to the attitude that Payton brought in, but having a QB who can get the job done is an enormous help. They seem to really believe in themselves and wins like the one over the Eagles only stoke that fire.
I really like the play of our D-line and LBs, but the secondary is still our weakest spot. A good passing team could eat our lunch. The next three games after this bye week will be a decent test of our secondary.
Ravens - Decent season so far, but if McNair gets on track he is good.
@ Tampa Bay - They passed pretty well against us last week. Hopefully we learned a few things.
@ Pittsburgh - Who knows which Ben will show up, but he's a proven leader and he still has some decent receivers to throw to.
