Two reasons why it won't happen. One is Bradshaw has burned a lot of bridges by alledging that WM and some other northeast LA schools recruit which is ironic given the recent turn of events at Bastrop. Secondly, the last time West Monroe traveled to Bastrop people where throwing things at the buses. One of the players was hit in the head by a piece of concrete and was injured. He was no longer able to play football after the incident. Coach Shows said that they will never go back to Bastrop to play again. West Monroe has tried to schedule Bastrop but Bastrop refuses to travel to West Monroe. West Monroe won't go to Bastrop.

Didn't remember all that happening. Was Bradshaw coaching in Bastrop when this happened?

The game should be played at nlulm. If Shows doesn't take the lead in scheduling this game he will appear to be afraid just like he was when he said he'd never schedule Evangel again.

Well the ball is in Shows court. He should talk it up before ever contacting Bradshaw. Then let it be known if Bradshaw won't do it. Otherwise, everyone (me included) will assume Shows is scared. If Bradshaw says no then he is scared.

A Thursday game at Malone next year would likely be the biggest and highest attended high school game to ever be played in N.La.. No reason not to do it.

we'll just agree to disagree. bastrop was the most talented team in the state last year before the evacuees. but bastrop has always been talented. always. they've never been able to put it all together though. mackey was the final piece, and i think you replace him with rawls and bastrop again falls short.

don't speak out of both sides of your mouth, clyde. on one hand, you tout mackey as a kid who could play anywhere in the country. now you are downplaying him as an integral part in their state title run. without him, the rams aren't crowned state champs.

Mackey can play at any university in the nation if his grades and ACT are in order. And Bastrop wins state without him.

The championship game was a rout, thanks to Mackey, but Bastrop wins without him.

No one at Bastrop has ever thrown a brick at a WM bus. Bricks are reserved for Neville.
Shows screwed Bradshaw over in one contract by not honoring a return home game. Bradshaw wants a multi year contract with the first one at Bastrop. Shows won't sign it.
