Why? is there a shortage of capital in the USA? There is more than enough money in the USA to finance economic growth in the USA to whatever level you want. That is not the problem. You just don't get it. Voodoo economics is a failure.

As for another country, try Denmark or Switzerland.

    A few things here...

In case you haven't heard...yeah. The budget is a little tight. And you have some data to support your contention that "there is more than enough money in the USA to finance economic growth to whatever level you want"?

Why don't you explain exactly what you think the problem is. I'm quite interested in you perspective.

Denmark has been a mass welfare state since WWII. Their people have never had an opportunity to do anything with their money. Also of note, Denmark has slashed its corporate tax rate from over 50% in the late 80s to 22% in 2016…much lower than the US. Their economic growth the past 5 years? 2012: -4.9%; 2013: 1.9%; 2014: 1.3%; 2015: 0.2%; 2016: 0.9%. It's why they are lumped into the term "European growth rates."

Switzerland…you might should check out their tax rates. They are some of the lowest in the world. FAIL. Their economic growth rates? 2012: 1.1%; 2013: 1.8%; 2014: 2.0%; 2015: 0.8%; 2016: 0.3%. It's why they also are lumped into the term "European growth rates."

“History has shown that when a country's wealth is concentrated in the top income groups the economy doesn't do as well as when the middle and lower classes shared some of that wealth.” -Salty

Exactly how do these examples prove that history has shown that? They don’t. I would argue that history actually shows the opposite.

Let me start with the single biggest impact: Dodd-Frank, and the obummer administration piling on for 8 straight years. Banks have been so over-regulated that they cannot "take risks" in lending, and that ruined start-ups and small/mid-size businesses, who needed access to capital at times.

EPA: piles of new regulations that caused many businesses to close, or that cost them big buck$, when that money could have been better spent, and/or some businesses operating "in the shadows" in violation of the EPA regulations who haven't been caught (yet).

EEOC: regulations that made businesses guilty, until proven innocent, and in some cases, unable to prove themselves innocent since the regulation had only one outcome: guilty.

obummercare: even with the so-called "small business" exceptions, the regulations drove up costs so much that small businesses could no longer compete for quality employees, who had to leave to find HCI somewhere.

ADA: now regulated thru state fire marshal offices, small businesses struggled (and in many, many cases closed) because meeting the regulations was simply cost prohibitive.

And, I'll remember some more. But, this is a start.

That list hits home with most business people. According to Salty the list should help the economy grow.

I should have started with this one: high corporate/business taxes. The US has some of the highest taxes in the world, which caused about 250 "large" companies to officially relocate to another country (Ireland was a big beneficiary).

Kathy Griffin Has No Problem Going After Barron Trump

    June 2, 2017
    1:53 pm

Comedian Kathy Griffin had a press conference on Friday to address her controversial photo shoot, in which Griffin held the severed head of President Trump.
During the press conference, Griffin told a reporter that she has no issue going after President Trump’s 11-year-old son Barron Trump.
A reporter asked Griffin about comments she made during an interview in December 2016.
“I’m happy to deliver beat down to Donald Trump — and also to Barron. You know a lot of comics are going to go hard for Donald, my edge is that I’ll go direct for Barron. I’m going to get in ahead of the game,” Griffin said in the December 2016 interview.
Griffin’s attorney Lisa Bloom attempted to brush away Griffin’s previous comments, saying that Griffin had made them years ago, when in fact they were made just six months ago.
“I think a comic should be able to make fun of everybody,” Griffin told the reporter.

O'Reilly stayed employed a long time after FoxNews learned about his sexual and racial harassment.

No sir. the sexual harassment is still alledged only. And I have never heard any racial at all.

Can you imagine a FOX Host making this statement? Just another reason CNN is headed down.

Everyone but FoxNews loyalists knows O'Reilky is a mysognist and racist and treated people poorly. FoxNews put up with him and paid off the people that complained because he was good for ratings - i.e., the type of people that liked this blowhard didn't place a high value on the morals he wasn't living up to.

    https://www.google.com/amp/amp.slate...imination.html

We will see what action, if any, CNN takes on that guy. They fired Griffin immediately.

That guy, by the way, doesn't host a news show. His show is more like Bourdain's Parts Unknown, but explores the world's religions.
