58 total games split evenly home & away. It will be like playing in 2 different conferences.We have 19 games scheduled against 7 Southland Conference schools & 24 games scheduled against 6 WAC schools. The final push in the last 1/3 of the season will happen on the road, so we need to be sitting on top of the WAC when we hit Sacramento on April 13th. I'm with coach Sim....we can & will take the nex't step this year. Set your goals low and you'll reach them every time. This year's goal is to get into a regional and see how far we can go. GO DAWGS !!!

RUSTON, La. – Bulldog baseball season is closer than you think, and the time to renew and purchase season tickets is now. Season ticket renewals are going on now until January 1. Fans interested in purchasing new season tickets can do so beginning in the New Year.

There are multiple season ticket packages to choose from. The newly installed stadium chairback seats are available for season ticket holders. Those seats run $150 for all 30 home games in 2007. Stadium Chairback seats can be renewed for $100. Renewal of the Dugout Chairback seats is $150 or new season tickets cost $250. General admission season tickets are available at a cost of $75. Family packs with two adult tickets and three children are $150.

The deadline for season ticket renewal is January 1. After that day, unrenewed season tickets will become available for purchase to the general public. Get your season tickets for Bulldog baseball today and don’t miss any of the action.

The Bulldogs open the season with the three-game series against Southeastern Conference power Arkansas on February 2 at home. Louisiana Tech will also play host to ULM and last year’s WAC regular season and tournament champion Fresno State among others.

Some one posted on the Arkansas message board that the commitment to playing LaTech is done after we face them this year. Can anyone confirm this? I was hoping for one more trip to Baum Stadium.

We don't host Nevada in a series? I hate those guys....

The Diamond Dawgs need to take care of business when the schedule is ripe for racking up wins. Home dates and some of those road series, against the weaker opponents is when Tech needs to make hay. Oh, I am saying weaker, not weak opponents. In baseball, you can run up against the ace of a staff having a good day and get beat by anybody.

With McNeese games this weekend moved to Ruston, not sure if McNeese still intends to web cast games on their site. Anyone know if 97.7 will pick up McNeese series now that it is home and Nitz will be in town with men's basketball team?
