Those who aren't running again can help scuttle the ship and will draw their retirement anyway if they don't mind living with the loathing. It'll be interesting to see if Landrieu, Lincoln, Nelson, etc. start putting the brakes on the socialist push.
You can forget about Landrieu. She's 100% Obamafied. E-mail her with your thoughts on the current health care reform that the senate passed. I did and her response was one that could have been written by Marx himself. Theres just something about Mary.....that makes me want to puke!
Yep, she passed up the opportunity to take a stand for her kids the first time around... I guess we'll see if she still wants to "throw them over the side" in Act II.

I grew up listening to a respected businessman in my area, a dairyman and farmer, lambast and rail against government handouts and government control, and government programs, yet he was always the first to sign up for and take full advantage of every government program that was ever passed by any governmnet (fed,state, local) at any time. He always was the leader in the agricultural community when it came to government handouts. Now he has been on SS and Medicare longer than I can remember . . . and nobody seemed to find that rather ironic. If you're going to oppose something, take a stand. Don't accept the handouts!
Kind of hard for some people to refuse the program when the government took their means to provide for themselves to fund the program. That is why you shouldn't create these entitlements to begin with. It creates a dependency situation.
