A few updates:
Volleyball: 6-21 0-10 in WAC
Women's Cross Country: 9th place finish in WAC Championship
Soccer: (yes I know it is a new program, that is why I did not list it earlier.... but) 4-10-3 overall, 0-6-1 in WAC
Men's Cross Country: 4th Place in the WAC (should we have a parade down Tech Drive to welcome them home?)
You should be proud of this team even though they had a disappointing finish in the WAC championships. They could have easily finished in 2nd place, but it just wasn't their day. Earlier this year they beat LSU (rival who they beat for the 1st time), Florida State (last year's outdoor track and field champs), Auburn (host), Ole Miss, and Miami. This team is also ranked #13 in the South Central region. They are shooting for a top 10 finish at Regionals in Waco on November 11. This team has made vast improvements over the last couple of years, and we will only lose one senior after this year.
I don't think our budget is $11 million. Must be some funny money in there. Last I saw, it was $8-$9 million and nothing has changed.
[quote=Brian96;403407]Exactly. We won't do the work to field an actual XC team, so we have to borrow athletes from other sports. This still fits into the "facts" of the problems with our athletic department.
last in xc , first in indoor and outdoor track 2 years i'll take that trade off. If I could get the type of return at the boat the athletic department at tech would have lots of money.
