Especially since this thread is about Iowa, not Iowa State.
This win shouldn't be a big deal. The simple fact that it is shows how far we have fallen.
I don't think it was a big deal either, more of a sigh of relief of getting the first win under the belt.
I was just projecting what our fans would be saying if the Techsters had been winning and then gotten taken down at home onto the Iowa fans. It was to sarcastically suggest keeping perspective. That would be an extreme view of them to take after the loss and it is extreme when our fans take it after a loss or even after starting the season with two losses for the first time in history.
Let's hope the victory is the start of a winning streak for the Techsters!
Thanks for explaining, Aub. The only thing you missed was the Iowa (which is the better of the two) vs. Iowa State.
Iowa, the one we beat, was the darkhorse for the B10 title this year. This is a big road win, in this day of parity, no matter what anyone states. It was so much fun to be cheering for the team that won. Haven't had that feeling much this year and this was a good one before Thanksgiving.
It was a nice victory for the Techsters. First victory ever at Carver Hawkeye Arena. Continue to build from here!
