What do you guys think? I figure I can actually get a 360 where it might be more difficult to find a ps3 or a Wii by Christmas. Wii is my preference because of the problems that the Sony corp. has been experiencing latlely. What do you guys think?

Wii in a walk. I will be getting a 360 for HD gaming at some point, but its not a priority.
Sony can take their 600$ price tag and kiss my ass.
Check out Next Gen Wars .com Wii is DRILLING the PS3 right now, and I fully expect it to equal or top the 360 in a year and a half.
GRANDPARENTS are balling out of control on the Wii.
It's honestly not even close.
PS3 - only because of the extensive investments in earlier PS games. Hate to see those go down the tube.
Well, as I reported the other day, I was able to get a Wii. Naturally, since it is for the family and not just one child, I went ahead and busted it open. You know, I had to make sure it works and all. Anyway, I like it except after years of playing joysticks and control pads, it takes some getting used to. It's amazing the range that little sensor bar has. I'll say this, depending on the game you're playing, you better hope you don't get an itch at a certain time, or you're screwed. Anyway, I decided to get a Wii after reading about all the things it's capable of doing. For the price, if nothing else, it's better than the other two. Same graphics, more capabilities and cheaper. The only problem is the accessories (extra remote, nunchuck, etc...) are harder to get than the actual game system.
Can't you get a "classic" controller that resembles a PS2 controller?

Wii - for the casual gamer. If you are a hardcore gamer that spends many hours playing, not a good fit for you...not suited for a coach potato because you got get up swing your arms and do the motions with the controller.
PS3 - great machine, the price tag is rediculous. Will have blue ray. The controller style is wonderful, that is why the layout did not change much from PS, PS2, to PS3. Long run, there will be more titles released than XBOX 360. ex. Rockstar games releases GTA exclusively to PS2, then months later it was out for XBOX.
XBOX 360 - great machine, price is steep for me but it's cheaper than PS3. Graphics wonderful...love NBA Live.

There's the classic controller.

I have all three through a friends connections and over all the XBOX 360 is best online- Wii is best price- PS3 is the PS3.
$850 dollars a unit to make a PS3 AND sold at $600. They figure to make the difference off of games, accessories, blue ray. 15% failure rate out of the box according to my sony guy.
It really is just a make of personal preference and loyalty to a brand really. I like all three for different reasons but PS3 is 3rd for me.
There has to be fourth option.
4. Banned from house.
My children and I looked like zombies when we had those blasted things in the house. I unilaterally banned them. My wife still plays Soitaire and some matrix game where you fill in numbers 1-9. If I catch my kids playing games on the computer they are grounded.
I'm sure not saying I am correct to do this, but that is what I do.
That would be our fault. But at least we are only there with that maybe twice a year.
I like the wii because you really do get a work out playing the sports package that comes with it. Plus I can get rid of built up frustrations, anger and stress playing the boxing game.
Howeve, to me, being a zombie on the video game is no worse that being addicted to reading this board. Both are just entertaining to the mind, not educational. Neither are bad for you as long as done in moderation.
