I saw the email that Vance Degeneres was joining the band, but it did not say that Sanchez was leaving. Any idea why he is leaving? Solo career?
I loved Vance Degeneres on the Daily Show...he was on WAY back.

He played with them when they were on Ellen's show as well.

On a side note, my two girls love CM. It may have something to do with their father exposing them to their music since birth. I was able to take them down to Waco this past summer to see the band at a free outdoor concert sponsored by the city of Waco. I think Paul "Poppy" Sanchez was their favorite. They liked his goofy dancing and charisma on stage. They both left with autographed band photos and a drum stick autographed by Fred.
I like Paul, but this will be a good thing for the music and direction of the band. One problem I have had with the Mouth is that they have had too many sounds and directions. This should narrow there sound and maybe, just maybe make them more successful.
Paul's solo stuff is killer.
Personally hate to see it. One of the things that I love about CM is the variety of sounds. I always listen to their new stuff to see if I can pick out which one of the guys wrote each song without looking. Paul's solo stuff is great but I can't see either one of them being better without the other. Besides they always have done their own things on the side. I would think that there is another reason behind this.
He's 40-something years old. I'm sure the Cowboy Mouth grind is tiring.
Paul was booted by the new manager.
