    Step back - Beder Blogs

A new entry has been made in Scott Beder's Blog:

Saturday's home loss to Boise State was a tough one to take for Coach Chris Long and the Lady Techsters.

After winning five of their last six, with the lone loss coming against LSU, the Techsters thought they had turned the proverbial corner. But what Saturday proved was that with this bunch, every game is a struggle and every game takes a supreme effort in order to get a win.

Saturday the Lady Techsters forgot that. Although Boise State is a good team and it played well, the Techsters can look back on the 68-47 loss and realize they didn't come ready to play.

Afterwards, Ty Moore and Tamika Kursh said that in the week of practice leading up to the game, the team wasn't as focused as it should be.

"It's a wakeup call,'' Moore said. "You can't sleep on anybody in this conference.''

Afterwards, Long delivered a similar message to his team.

"I told them you've got to practice hard every single day,'' Long said. "We're not good enough to take a day off. We're not good enough to take a possession off.''

Hopefully, Saturday was a lesson well learned.

Ever notice how often Beder, who's suppsoed to be unbiased, uses ther word HOPEFULLY in covering Tech.

I'm trying to find abybody else who covers something for a newspaper usuing HOPEFULLY so much. HOPEFULLY, they don't.

Fans are supposed to hope for the bes.t Employees of the university, too. Reporters are supposed to ...... report.

    Hopefully.

That is a blog, smartass. It's more of an opinion.

Hopefully, you will realize that next time.
