The only song that came to my mind in my '80s flashback is one of like 3 country songs I've ever liked: New Grass Revival's "Callin' Baton Rouge." I can't find the original, but here is a newer one. It's funny, too, because they are trying to teach their Czech audience to do the cajun "ayeee" call.
(And I apologize in advance for posting country music. But this song was a very important part of my '80s experience.)
