I want us to sweep, and I think we can. But, if roster adjustments create errors again, we'll take 2 out of 3....

Sweep!
2 of 3 would be MAH-velous. They took 2 of 3 from us last year in Ruston. They are expected to be a good team. They usually are.
Predictions are hard to make when you don't know anything about the other team. I sure hope we can sweep and score a lot of runs. It would be a good rebound after losing two to Ark. we could have won. 2 out of three would be just OK.
Decent SLC squad - who took 2 out of 3 from us at home last year -
On the road, weather could be a factor - Rupert untested after a year lay-off....
Sweep would be nice, but I will take 2 out 3 and be happy and ready for the DH against UAPB and the single against Jackson St before heading to Lake Chuck the following weekend -
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
- UTA lost to Texas in Austin last night 9-4 (UTA had 4 E’s). McNeese State’s (Dawg's opponent the following weekend) first games are this weekend in a tournament in Edinburg, TX against Cal State Northridge, Okie State and UTPA – then they play Texas A&M next Tuesday. In the pre-season Southland conference polls both are picked to win their respective divisions, McNeese to win it all.
- McNeese State won the “regular season” title last year, but UTA pulled off several upsets to win the postseason tournament last year as a #5 seed. UTA was then 0-2 in the Austin regional.
UTA has a good middle infield, and Burum can swing it.
McNeese State will be tougher than UTA. 5 players (3B, SS & OF plus 2 P’s) on the pre-season all SLC conference team. Blacksher is their best starting pitcher, and Danny Davis is a strong closer (6-4 lefty, on the national stopper of the year watch list).
Dwayne's dead on about the weather in Arlington, looks warm but might rain Sat\Sun. Dawg's look goooood for this weekend, know more about McNeese after their first 4 games.
I visited with Coach Sim briefly after the signing day event. He gave me hell about having my "Dooley's Dawgs" shirt on. I apologized profusely to say the least.
He was upbeat and really excited about our team. Obviously disappointed about Mosely being suspended and not available this weekend, but this will give cause for someone to step up and show what they can do. The weather forecast had him concerned for the weekend.
Coach and the team deserve all the support we can give. They genuinely value the fans and he obviously is proud of the team. Hard to expect more out of a program that is so well grounded and where they work hard to "play the game as it is meant to be played". There is no doubt that Coach Sim instills that in his players.
