Great day for baseball and track. Now let's win a couple of basketball games.
UTA was very confident early in the game. But Tech just got stronger and stronger as the game went on. Jericho's blast was over the centerfield wall- WHAT A MAN!!!! And Hudson was all business on the mound and at the plate.
The team's intensity was very good!
Rike's glove in left field was great and he kept about 3 would-be doubles to only singles with his quick throws to the infield.
Adam Cobb almost made one of the most awe-inspiring catches I've ever seen! A ball was hit deeeep to center field and Cobb was hauling it to get to the ball. At the last second he dove ONTO THE WARNING TRACK and somehow gloved the ball!!!! He landed square on his chest on the track and the ball popped out. Of course he had to walk that off for a while, but stayed in the game... SIMPLY AMAZING EFFORT AND PAINFUL LANDING!
The catch of the game was by Chris Kersten at 3rd base. It was a sharply hit bullet to Chris' left at his ankles. He snagged it and the UTA crowd groaned.
This team will be incredible when the weather heats up more and the balls carry a little further.

That third baseman's catch was incredible.
The "one that got away" in the outfield. Dude went completely horizontal! Amazing effort.
The two 3 run dingers were the icing on the cake.
About 40 - 45 Tech fans there. Tough to get an accurate count, but very nice, if somewhat quiet crowd.
Three dingers in a park that the ball does not carry very well in. Kerstens' diving catch was a "ESPN type" top ten play of the day, and Cobb's was until the ball popped out. Rupert got the ball up sometimes but overall he had a good outing with good velocity on his fastball. Hudson was rock solid and allowed us to come from behind,and blow the game wide open.This is a win to build on. GO DAWGS !!!
