I did this to show what how our baseball season wins could stack up against a solid 8 or 9 win FB season.
What are some of Tech's best all-time records? I remember the Dawgs being very successful in the late '70's. But they often played a very tough schedule, against teams like Ariz State, Texas, Oklahoma, Miami, South Alabama, and several SEC teams too. So their overall record was not reflective of just how good those teams truly were.
I remember a couple of 40+ win seasons.
I don't remember any records but I do remember finding last year that we were ranked 2-3 times in the 70's.
1978 - 46-19 NCAA
1980 - 43-24-1 NCAA
1982 - 40-26
1987 - 43-14 NCAA
1988 - 42-19
In 1960 we won .826 of our games but the record was only 19-4
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
.826? If the Cubs had that kind of winning % their record would be 134- 28. Yo!!
Of course, they would then proceed to lose the first playoff series.....
I need to stop picking on the Cubs. I think they'll actually be fairly decent this year.
Back to the point, I hope Sim is bringing us back to those great Gravy Train days!
