Bossier City - Where Shreveport sends their rejects. Why do you think you can't get around Bossier in a timely manner? We sent the dumb engineers over there to design the streets so they wouldn't screw up ours.
I'm from Shreveport, but in the grand scheme of things, Shreveport and Bossier City bickering over superiority is like ULM and ULL jarring back and forth about who's the best in the Sun Belt.
Thanks for all the input guys.
How many Nida's are there, anyway? Is Joe on here somewhere, too?
Yes, I did grow up "a little" in Bossier on Oliver Street. However, when I moved back to this area in 1989, I purchased a house in Shreveport. With the size houses I was buying, it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that property taxes were over 25% cheaper in the Bossier City, and even more cheaper in Bossier Parish. Shreveport put itself in a serious financial bind over the last 8 years, that it will have to continue to have significant tax increases just to pay for its debt. The tax increases will come from re-valuation of property values every four years as allowed by law. The Times should have archived articles about the hugh property tax increase about 1.5 years ago and IT WILL HAPPEN again.
Since 1989, I lived in Shreveport, then moved to Bossier City (2 homes in Oak ALLEY) and now reside in Bossier Parish (Olde Oaks).
