You guys give a could feed thanks to you we can know what going on. I appreciate that. I just wish we could be a Div. 1 university in all aspects, including media.
Sac State 3, Tech 1, Moseley not pitching well, just gave up a double to start the 4th inning.
Moseley out Alsup in, gave up a sac bunt and bloop single to score the runner. He just got a force at second. 2 outs, runner on 1st, 4-1 Sac State, top 4th.

We need to sign some good pitchers!
Our lack of good pitchers is definitely affecting the hitting now.

6-4 Sac state top of 9, runner on 2nd 0 outs. Infield hit, pass ball, and an error. Wow, I dont know what to think. Did my homerism make me overestimate our talent by this much? We should be beating the hell out of teams like Sac State.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but do you really think it is pitching? It looks to me like our pitching is just fine, but our defense is hurting us. Runs scored after the "third" out are killing our momentum. That's just my opinion.Originally Posted by DogsWin

Good pitching has nothing to do with our hitters. If pitching and hitting were easy everyone could do it. The performance of out pitchers has nothing to do with the hitters ability to put the ball in play. Don't forget this is a team sport. That included players and coaches as well. The coaches can't play the game for them and the players do what the coaches tell them.
Lots of pop-ups. Untimely errors. We don't seem to start the game with much fire. Kinda going through the motions. Nobody seems to really get up until late in the game when they have to. Not sure what kind of leadership we have in the dugout (meaning players). The only guys i really hear talking it up half the time are the coaches. I'd just like to see the guys play with a little more fire sometimes for 9 innings. Not trying to sound too critical, just my observation.
That's on the coaches. Like Sim or not, we should not be losing a series AT HOME to a team under .500.
