There weren't a lot of call-ins during the time I was listening. It was an interesting show. Wade put on his interviewer hat, and asked questions of Hudson and Alsup on subjects such as: how do you handle being out of class so much during long road trips to the West coast,? how do you consistently give the team five or six innings in relief while not piling up a big pitch count?

Overall, Wade encouraged anyone with a tough question to call and ask that question. You could tell he and the players are not at all pleased with 13-8 and 1-2 to start the season, but Wade made some strong statements about how good he feels this team can be.

He said he still believes this team has as much or more talent than the Cajun team which went to Omaha. He said the difference is that the ULL team believed they were going to win every game. This team needs to get that kind of mentality.

From what I heard: DWinn is our SS, he knows he has to get better but he's a senior and he has faith in him. NickG and KWinn will continue to platoon and Nick is the SS of the future. Was pleased with DrewT and MattC catching but both need to block up better and improve. Needs to find more playing time for Drew Bunting and PT whether its coming off the bench or starting games. Hitters are getting behind in the count and are having to be more defensive, have to be smarter hitters. Pitchers are also getting behind in the count, have to "pitch" more instead of just throwing. Need timely hits. Need to start hitting earlier in the game instead of waiting. Cut out errors. Also said he took some of the blame for errors this weekend because the infield dirt was too hard causing some bad bounces. He said alot more but can't think of it right now. Overall a pretty good show. Dave called in and did a great job as usual.

I didn't realize baseball players were that sensitive to criticism. I mean, what's the difference in calling to ask a football coach about changing the QB, or asking a Bball coach to change guards because they allow too many turnovers? If anything, it should light a fire under their butts.
