The other thread got hosed up.
Rike went to the mound and struck out the final 3 Lamar batters. Tech picked up 2 wins today. Aaron Lorio improved to 2-0 with the game 2 win.
Tech 16 - Lamar 2
No damage in the 6th. Top of the 7th and still Tech 10 - Lamar 2.
Rike walked, Goulder walked. Patrick Thomas hits a triple to center to score both runners. Grunenwald base hits Thomas in for another score.
Tech 13 - Lamar 2
I've heard of long innings before, but the post with Kevin Winn leading off the Tech 6th was at 8:06 pm. The last post wasn't until 9:33 pm.
Seriously, it looks like the whole board jumped to double daylight time between 8:06 and 8:14 pm.

Rike got hitter of the week last week. What if he gets pitcher of the week before the season is over. Has anyone done that? Jerico? He is leading the WAC in 5 categories!

A new article has been posted on the Shreveport Times:
BEAUMONT, Texas — The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs claimed both ends of a doubleheader Monday at Lamar. In Game 1 of the double dip, the Bulldogs fell far back after the Cardinals scored six runs in the third inning but Tech was able to battle back with the sticks and claim the first game 12-9. The second game took time for Tech (17-11) to take command, but thanks to a number of walks the Bulldogs pulled ahead and didn't look back for a 16-2 victory over Lamar (12-8).
