I would probably say, though, that if the state is requiring the ultrasound, they should pay for it. The voters will have to let it be known (through their representatives) how serious they are about this bill.
The bill says that the woman must pay for it. The bill does not make exceptions for rape or incest either.

You want to throw a child in the argument with cancer cells, cows, deer, fish, and terrorists?

Professional athletes got to that point through collective bargaining, meaning they are getting something out of the deal.. An insurance office offers you medical coverage at a rate contingent on your medical history. A doctors office doesn't make you piss in a cup if they are trying to see if you've got an ear infection...

But, if the government you take the tests before you could be employed, and your prospective employer was forced to look at the information?

A fetus is not a child. A fetus in the case of an unwanted pregnancy might be about the same as a cancer to that patient, only it's much faster growing...

Or that it is conscious of its own existence for that matter.

by the way, the evidence I presented earlier suggested the following:

    1) women who undergo abortions suffer depression immediately after the procedure at similar rates that women who give birth undergo depression.
    2) women who are pressured against having an abortion undergo depression to extents directly proportional to the amount of pressure. In other words, the added pressure of the ultrasound will have a negative affect on the women.
