Well OBVIOUSLY there is no one, dominant team. So, any team can win this league. Might as well be our Dawgs.

But, this team will have to get a whole lot better on defense and in pitching. A WHOLE lot better.

Fresno State has the only sweep so far in WAC play. Since it's Masters week, here's a look at the WAC standings using golf scores...a road sweep being an eagle through getting swept at home being a double bogey. Not winning the series against Sacramento State makes the upcoming NMSU series crucial for Tech.

The teams in the WAC have set themselves up to send one team to the regionals. In 2006 two teams went, both having 18-6 conference records and very similar 45-17 and 45-18 overall records after the regionals.

Fresno at 17-17 overall currently has to win the WAC postseason tournament to get in.

Tech (22-14), SJS (18-12) & Hawaii (22-11) each have a chance to get an at-large berth, but they would have to get extremely hot in winning the regular season title to have a good case. Looks like a wild post-season tourney at Nevada.
