It would be a good feature, though, if we did indeed have it.
There is currently no "invite" system built into vB. They MAY include it in their next release. There are some hacks out there that will add one in, but the one that works with the most recent version is $25 and I'm not willing to pay that for something as small as this.
When you are viewing a thread, that you think your friend will be interested in, go to "Thread Tools" and select "E-mail Page". It will bring up a page to e-mail the link to someone and you can type in a message telling them to join up if they aren't a member.
Until vB comes out with something, I'd stick with that.
