Coach Stringer's Ire

I've been kinda quiet lately ( except for the anti-Long statements I echo ) so let's stir the pot a little. I'm sure that everyone has heard the story of what Coach Stringer did to her Scarlet Knights when she felt they were "dissing" the tradition & sacrifices of the ladies who played before the current freshman crop she has now. Seems like that turned the team around, wouldn't ya say? :icon_wink: That seems like something that Leon would have done as well so does anyone else think that might have been a good tactic for Coach Long to have tried with this past seasons' ( geez, it hurts to know that our season is over already!! :bigcry: ) group of girls who, for the most part, didn't seem to grasp the Techster tradition? Just remember the smiles & laughter on the bench as we crashed & burned all too many times before ya'll answer.

BTW - who we pulling for Tuesday night? I think Coach Stringer deserves a title but somehow Coach Summitt has grown on me. Maybe it's the new girlfriend from Knoxville???

Coach Stringer did a great job in teaching a lesson. I think a couple of our girls might have quit. Maybe that would not have been a bad thing, actually.

Anyway, I am glad to have a great group coming in. Hopefully, we can put this year behind us.

I'm actually pulling for Stringer in this one, even though a Summitt win would be OK (just glad LSU and UNC didn't get in). Stringer is one of the only old school coaches still without a championship. I'll root for her this time.

I agree. Don't have a problem with Summit and the Vols but Stringer deserves one.

Either team is OK with me, but I think Stringer has done an outstanding job. Everyone always expects it from Pat and she delivers too. I have to go with Rutgers because they were nice enough not just to beat LSU, but to kick their behinds and leave no doubt that they were never in the game. I just wish they had played Friday and Sunday so that the men's is the finale. I think the viewing audience will be over when the men's is over.

I don't think my opinion has changed any about them. They have always respected us and I have them. Wanted nothing more than to beat them, but Pat was always the second best wbb coach in the country - now the best.

I agree. I do remember not liking Texas very much though. And no, there was no respect there.
