I hope Brian breaks the record this weekend. His parents will be there and I know they would like to have the ball. If someone knows who gets it, it would be nice to present it to them.

Will TJ make an appearance or will he refuse a la Hank Aaron?
The record is 21, held by four people, TJ soto is the only name i know. Rike is currently at 20
I believe Ken Shamburg is one of the four also.

It's OK if he ties it tomorrow night, but his mom told him not to break it until she gets there Friday.
Let's just play good baseball for a change and win and not get caught up on records and homeruns too much. Let the homeruns take care of themself.
Of course winning the games is the most important thing. But, Brian is almost assured of breaking the record and it would be nice for him to do it in front of the home crowd. If they don't get in tonight's game, he will be hard pressed to do it. I want them to win out and make the CWS. The rest of the records will take care of themselves. It's just nice to have someone to talk about in these terms.
I don't know who you are, so maybe you are on the team. I agree that the team should not get caught up in records and stuff. But my excitement over potential records has no affect on the team's performance. I hope we win out, but I am also excited for Rike's performance.
DH is not on the team. He is trustworthy and knows more baseball and knows more about baseball than all on this board (myself included).
