    Whatever happened to Charlie Montoyo?..just curious.....Do you or anyone else know? He was at Tech when I was there..Loved watching him play ball....at the time I thought he would be in the majors in no time. I know he played in the minors for a few years...The guy could hit a the college level at least...pretty good second baseman too.

    Played MiLB ball for a while. Was AA - Montgomery manager last several years (won Southern League championship in 2006) and is now AAA manager for Durham (Tampa Bay). Great guy. Visited with him several times when I was in Birmingham.
