Today is a day where we remember the greatness that is Steve Garvey. You know who I am talking about, good second baseman, former MVP, muti-All Star, and most importantly, hell of a leader. Garvey for HOF!!!!

If you're gonna celebrate Steve Garvey day, shouldn't you at least know what position he played? I believe he played 2nd base one year, and 1st base most of his career. Get a clue.

According to a baseball website, Steve Garvey was credited with one game at 2nd base early in his career. He had no fielding chances at 2nd so he probably only played there for a short stint. He played 3rd base (191 games) and outfield (10 games) also but the majority of his career was played at 1st base (2059 games).
If there was a Steve Garvey day, it should be September 1st in honor of his major league debut (1969) or on May 23rd in honor of his final game (1987). He finished his career with the San Diego Padres after playing 14 seasons for the Dodgers.
IMO, he should be voted into the Hall of Fame.
