I think I finally see what is going on.

We have people running away from $&!%hole countries, walking 1500+ miles through a dangerous
$&!%hole country to get to a country full of racist and xenophobic deplorables that elected the next incarnation of Hitler as their leader....only to find they have to support these deplorables that hate them when they get there.

Obviously they care less about Us politics than the gang violence that directly threatens them.

Well that's a politically charged website. It doesn't do a great job of addressing the question either. This is a website for those who already have an opinion to reinforce their beliefs or to attempt to refute those whose opinions don't match their own.

I do think this issue would stand up well an honest minimal bias analysis, but it seems pretty hard to come across.

    3. Mexico is not as safe as it used to be. If given the choice, which the law permits, many might choose to seek asylum at the US.
Your answering questions that weren't asked. Item #3 is the closest thing to an answer here. It makes sense that they might prefer to seek asylum in the US, but Mexico is a big place. Is violence so rampant that there aren't places for these people to settle in Mexico. Heck we have Chicago, New Orleans, Atlanta, Los Angeles etc with plenty of violence problems of our own.

Point 1 and 2 were addressing the the skewed thinking that can lead to the question that was asked.

Again, many do seek asylum in Mexico. You only see the ones that don’t. The violence we have in our cities is nothing like the threats that they face in their country. Maybe some of them feel like Mexico cannot protect them from the Central American gangs. If your kid had received a death threat from one of these ruthless gangs you would probably take the same risks to get your child and family to safety.

Frustrated by the wall, illegals pull out guns and shoot it. Of course it didn't harm the wall any and no one was hurt...too bad the bullets didn't ricochet back on the shooters. Happened near San Luis, Arizona.

Just goes to show you the quality of person trying to invade our country.

    Re: Immigration

Since October, Customs and Border Protection say that it has apprehended more than 56,000 children unaccompanied by their parents or other caregivers at the border. CBP estimate it takes about $725 per child per day to take care of these children that includes even toddlers. The Senate Appropriations Committee advanced a bill last week that would provide 4.6 billion in emergency money to deal with this surge.

The bill has passed in the Senate but, it looks like the democrats are not going to pass it in the house. So what happens if the bill does not pass the House by 6/27 when Congress leaves on a 2 week vacation? Democrats are complaining about how immigrants are being treated, but, they do not want to help solve the problem. Pelosi has told her democrats that this is not a bill to help the children, but, a bill to help Trump look good. These democrats really are insane with TDS. They're like a bunch of cows that walk up to a quicksand pool and they all just keep following each other until they all sink out of sight.

House Democrats just rejected a motion to hire additional judges to help process the backlog of 900K immigration and asylum cases. Republicans want to provide resources to address the humanitarian crisis and the immigration backlog it’s fueling. Why won’t Democrats join us?

So if democrats were so worried about the humanitarian crisis at the border... why wouldn't they fund the hiring of additional judges to process the backlog of immigration and asylum cases?

Any ideas what he is talking about? Looked through the floor proceedings from the day and couldn’t find it.

    Re: Immigration

The House passed a $4.5 billion spending bill for "humanitarian aid" on the border, last night. The Senate had previously passed a similar bill. Trump likes the Senate version, I doubt if he'll like the House version.

Personally, I say ZERO humanitarian anything for the border. If illegals don't like it, stay the hell home!

Spend that $4.5 billion on the wall.

This is the story that is emerging regarding the picture of the father and daughter that drowned in the Rio Grande. If the story is true, they have been waiting in hot camps on the Mexican side of the border for months for their asylum application to be considered.

Embarrassing that Trump has painted this desperate victims of violence as the actual threat.
