Working in foster care, I have seen kids taken into custody for assault, domestic violence, DUI, and burglary. All of which can be misdemeanor level crimes.
Also, these folks use their children as pawns to try and weasel a way in. If this policy deters any one of them, I am all for it.

Non violent offenses such as drug possession, prostitution, or reckless driving? I don’t know of any specific cases, but I would imagine so.
