What does “all that nonsense” cost?

To me, all the nonsense includes processing, housing, and adjudicating every case and their families as well as the cost associated with jobs, tax dollars lost due to illegal wages, and benefits paid for those who aren’t due them. How expensive is that in comparison to building, manning, and maintaining a wall?

That’s the question isn’t it. What’s your guess?

I couldn’t even venture a guess. I don’t have the stats to be able to predict all those cost 5, 10, or 20 years out.

Here is some info to help color in those numbers.

“The best estimates come from research by the Institute of Taxation and Economic Policy, a Washington, DC, think tank, which suggests that about half of undocumented workers in the United States file income tax returns. The most recent IRS data, from 2015, shows that the agency received 4.4 million income tax returns from workers who don’t have Social Security numbers, which includes a large number of undocumented immigrants. That year, they paid $23.6 billion in income taxes.”

So that part is roughly 23.6 billion paid and 23.6 billion “lost” in federal income tax. But then again maybe not when you consider they aren’t eligible for the EITC and citizens are. In fact a recent report suggests that nearly HALF of American families don’t pay federal income taxes. ( https://www.forbes.com/sites/beltway.../#85d87a561cbc )

That also means that those that are paying are paying for DawgyNWindow’s social security without being eligible to benefit. That is about as type “A” as he could want in his system. “In 2013, the agency reviewed how much money undocumented workers contributed the retirement trust fund. The number was astonishing: $13 billion in one year.”

Also, there is payroll taxes. “The IRS estimates that unauthorized workers pay about $9 billion in payroll taxes annually.”

    https://www.vox.com/2018/4/13/172290...ants-pay-taxes

Of course then you would also have to take into account all the other things they do to help our economy too - including paying sales taxes, doing jobs for small businesses that are barely scraping by (and some that allegedly are doing well - like Trump’s businesses) and doing low skill jobs that some Americans just won’t do.

Anyway - there is no need to fall for the boogeyman theories being promoted by FoxNews and their like.

According to you, Trump is the Boogeyman.

Yet he just keeps on winning.

So, our leaders haven’t read the laws they are discussing? Or they don’t understand them. Either way, Hawaii should be so proud.

    Amazing!

Although we have a Dem. senator that once stated "We don't need dirty coal or fuels. All you have to do in plug into a wall for energy".

Then there's Pelosi, "Pelosi: "Mowing The Grass So People Can't Be Smuggled Through Grass" Better Border Solution Than Wall"

Let's put all the illegals on an island, and have them move to one side of it. It'll tip over, capsize probably (think on that one a minute....) and all the illegals will drown or get eaten by sharks. And racist sharks at that, yes, Great Whites! Problem solved.

BTW, just an aside of tidbit information. Do you know which species of shark has the most powerful bite? It isn't the Great White...

The correct answer to the science question is: Bull Shark. Typical adult bull shark generates 480 lbs/sq inch of force. It's more force than is needed to crush the typical prey of a bull shark. Marine biologists don't know why it has such a powerful bite.

Bull Sharks also can survive in fresh water, and often swim up rivers.
