    Yes! Perfect idea!!

Use seized $14 BILLION to build border wall?

After El Chapo conviction, use seized $14 BILLION to build border wall?

    FEBRUARY 12, 2019
    BY MARTIN WALSH

Could El Chapo’s seized drug money be used to build the border wall?

That’s one of the questions many are asking on Tuesday following news of the former drug kingpin being found guilty on all counts.

Mexico’s most notorious drug kingpin, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, will spend the rest of his life in prison after a jury found him guilty on all 10 counts following a three month trial.
According to Breitbart, the United States has seized $14 billion from the former drug lord, which gave Sen. Ted Cruz a brilliant idea.
The Texas Republican introduced the Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden Assets to Provide Order (EL CHAPO) Act in April 2017, which calls for the use of the $14 billion seized from the cartel drug lord to be used to pay for the wall.
“Fourteen billion dollars will go a long way toward building a wall that will keep Americans safe and hinder the illegal flow of drugs, weapons, and individuals across our southern border,” Cruz said in a statement.

“Ensuring the safety and security of Texans is one of my top priorities,” he added.
Cruz said using criminally forfeited assets from El Chapo and other Mexican cartel members and drug dealers can “offset the wall’s cost and make meaningful progress toward achieving President Trump’s stated border security objectives.”
“The U.S. Government is currently seeking the criminal forfeiture of more than $14 billion in drug proceeds and illicit profits from El Chapo, the former leader of the Sinaloa drug cartel who was recently extradited to the U.S. to face criminal prosecution for numerous alleged drug-related crimes, including conspiracy to commit murder and money laundering,” Cruz added.
Wisconsin Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner proposed similar legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives, which would use money seized from drug cartels to fund a border wall.
“This is a way to fulfill the president’s desire to have Mexico pay for the wall,” Sensenbrenner, a member of the Judiciary Committee, told the Washington Examiner. “Having the money seized from Mexican drug cartels would mean that the bad Mexicans would end up paying for the wall, and the bad Mexicans have been terrorizing the good Mexicans with crime and kidnappings and murders within Mexico itself.”…
“The [Drug Enforcement Agency] has estimated that the gross receipts of the Mexican drug trade or somewhere between $19-$29 billion a year,” he said. “We don’t have to be 100 percent efficient to get the the money we need to completely pay for the wall relatively quickly.”
El Chapo’s $14 billion would fund well over half of the proposed wall along the southern border between the U.S. and Mexico.

Heard this morning on the radio that the governor of California took a poll to see if the residents of California felt that they had an immigration issue. 29% responded by agreeing that there was a problem and 71% responded by saying no hay problema aqui!

    Idiots all!

House Dems reject motion to condemn illegal immigrant voting

Nearly every House Democrat on Friday opposed a measure condemning voting in U.S. elections by illegal immigrants, as part of a sweeping election reform bill.
The GOP-backed measure would have added language to the “H.R. 1” election proposal stating that “allowing illegal immigrants the right to vote devalues the franchise and diminishes the voting power of United States citizens.”

Federal law already prohibits non-citizens from voting in elections for federal office. But the GOP motion referenced how San Francisco is allowing non-citizens, including illegal immigrants, to register to vote in school board elections.
The motion was voted down 228-197. All but six Democrats in the House voted against it. Just one Republican opposed it.
Lauren Fine, a spokeswoman for House GOP Whip Steve Scalise, pointed out that an identical resolution was adopted by the House last September. But on Friday, 41 Democrats flipped to oppose the latest measure.

Many diseases such as mumps, measles, tuberculosis, and malaria are being brought across the southern border by illegal immigrants per doctor on Laura Ingram tonight. They had to quarantine 200 illegals at the border today with mumps. An Arizona sheriff said they arrested a woman dressed as a nun that had 8 pounds of fentenyl on her. If some terrorist manages to get the fentenyl into drinking water, several thousand people could be killed. That wall should have already been built. Democrats won't even go to the border to see what's going on. It's definitely a crisis and an emergency.

Rudiculous that FoxNews so openly promotes such racist and xenophobic ideas.

If you don’t look at the spread of infections disease through such a xenophobic lens, you would see that
stated that the number of Americans or other foreigners who travel to the countries from which refugees are fleeing far exceeds the number of people entering the country as refugees. Therefore, the number of people exposed to foreign disease from Americans returning from refugee countries likely exceeds those exposed to disease from actual refugees:

    https://www.migrationpolicy.org/arti...alth-time-zika

By the way, Mexico and Honduras actually have higher child vaccination rates than the US:

    https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SH.IMM.MEAS

In summary, illegal immigration doesn’t pose a unique disease issue - it is no different than the risk posed by traveling and populations, in general.

Isn't that a little like saying more people get STD's from unprotected sex than they do from sharing needles so we should ignore the risk associated with sharing needles.

The term 'xenophobia' is typically used to denote a phobic attitude towards foreigners or strangers, or even of the unknown.

So its the socialist and leftist Dems. which are the racist ones; especially after last week.
Yes they now admit hating the Jews and Israel and have been anti-God and anti-Christian (they fear the unknown they don't understand) since the 60's!

No. Those are far riskier behaviors. But you do assume the risk of getting a communicable disease anytime you go around other people, regardless of where they are from. Illegal immigration is not creating some new health crisis.

CNN has you believing everything they are promoting and you fall for it hook, line and sinker. A former border patrol chief under Obama is the one who reported this and he should know. CNN hasn't even sent a reporter to the border except for Acosta who went their to promote himself. Fox news is the only network that is reporting what is actually happening on the border. Your hatred of Trump keeps you from wanting to know the truth. Are you in favor of open borders because you think they will help your far left liberal democrat party?

    Re: Immigration

    TRUTH alert!

Immigrants are accessing TWICE as much social assistance as native born Americans are. Combining illegals and legals that number soars to an annual $60 billion of taxpayer money being wasted on immigrants. Now, please note, that even legal immigrants are non-citizens, why are they entitled to ANY welfare?

This is across the board....welfare, Medicaid, food stamps...the only category where citizens draw more is housing, namely Section 8 assistance. But that is only slightly more, give the immigrants time and they will pass citizens by in that line item too. It's probably because immigrants mostly stay on the move and haven't yet settled in one location yet, so not as much need for housing assistance. But that too will come.

I say cut 'em all off! Not a single dime to a non-citizen. And use that annual $60 billion savings to build the wall.

    Just another libtard myth exposed.
