Amid racist accusations against President Trump following his tweet-tirade against various progressive Democrats, one of the more outspoken #Squad-members unleashed a torrent of what some might call racist, homophobic, islamophobic claims admonishing the deplorable Americans who refuse to fall in line with new progressive democratic platform..

As far as politicians politicizing criminal enforcements of individuals, I have a problem with politicians politicizing the ignoring of laws. They all swore an oath to uphold the law when they took office.

There are more laws than there are resources to enforce them all. The executive branch has to prioritize. It's called "prosecutorial discretion".

I'd submit there are much more serious laws than the misdemeanor infraction of undocumented border crossing.

I think the way it is phrased is a call to action rather than saying people do actually think a certain way because of the color of their skin. I think the sentences literally convey the idea that many of these folks do in fact think differently or are at least choosing not to lend their voice in protest (“We don’t need” in this context is understood by everyone to be the same as say that “we need all minorities to speak up against the bigotry that is directed at them”).


So, no, that is not bigoted/racist/homophobic by any standard. Maybe you don’t know what those words mean?

So you're just misinterpreting what she means when she says a brown face without a brown voice. Are you choosing to misinterpret or just on accident?

She's pretty explicit. You're mental gymnastics notwithstanding, she didn't say a muslim face without a voice, she said a muslim face without a muslim voice etc.

It's funny that when someone makes no mention of race, they are dog whistling to racists, but when someone directly mentions race you can't see it. It's almost like you see what you want to see and are blind to the things you don't want to see.

Direct translation: there are black people who are not wanting to speak up and provide their black perspective and that isn’t helping the situation.

“Black voice” is a concept from the late 80s early 90s in Critical Race Theory.
