I read in the paper yesterday that over 70% of immigrants were receiving tax payer subsidies. How are we supposed to afford that? It doesn't make sense to me that we, as taxpayers, are forced to subsidize people moving here from another land, whether legally or not. Protect the borders and provide infrastructure for commerce. If the federal government stuck to that, all Americans would be better off.
