what a relief!! I don't think I could have stood another series like last years. We almost beat them the last game too.

The allure of interleague play is fading with me now. I'd rather see the Cubs and Sox play when it matters - in October! I'll probably die first. It's all just a money grab.
I do NOT like interleague play. Yes I may sound like a fuddy-duddy, but baseball is a unique sport that use to have many discussion about "what if these teams played". Now you have it and I just don't like it. I DO like the Wild Card. That has been a good thing to make more teams stay in the hunt much longer than they use to.
Anytime the Cubbies beat the south siders its a good day, only surpassed by beating the Cardinals.

I disagree, I'm not from Chicago but I have been a Cubs fan a long time and the Cardinals have always been our biggest rival. I've been to a few Cubs/Cardianals games and the atmosphere is like a playoff game (which we have seen few of). It's great to beat the Sox for hometown bragging rights but the Cardianals are in our division.
